I took these on my last day in Cyprus. A few of my co-workers and I decided to venture further out from the resort. We took a walk on the beach and ended up on a mountain.
This seaside necropolis was built during the 3rd or 4th century B.C. The name reflects the size and beauty of the site but despite the name, no royalty was buried here.
This monastery in Paphos was established in the late 1100's by St. Neophytos. We weren't allowed to take pictures of the many frescoes inside, but they were beautiful. The small museum on the grounds also had stunning art and artifacts on display.
